Moxa received special recognition from the Alliance as well as from the local and state government
Moxa became a sponsor member of the SunSpec Alliance in 2010

Moxa, an industry leader in data-loggers and networking hardware for the renewable energy market, announced recently that it was recognized with the Open Standards Champion award from the SunSpec Alliance, a trade consortium of distributed energy industry participants working together to pursue information standards to enable "plug & play" system interoperability. It was the second year in a row that Moxa received the coveted award.

In a statement released to the press, Chairman of the SunSpec Alliance Tom Tansy said, "Moxa's steadfast support and technical contribution have been invaluable to our efforts in the SunSpec Alliance. We are grateful for their efforts on behalf of all Alliance members and are proud to present them with this award for the second year in a row."

"Moxa deeply believes in the SunSpec Alliance mission of common open standards for the industry, and already adopts this philosophy in our approach to hardware design," according to Eddie Lee, Director of Global Industry Marketing for Moxa. "It is an honor to be recognized by the SunSpec Alliance for being a significant contributor to this mission."

Moxa became a sponsor member of the SunSpec Alliance in 2010. The company's data loggers and Ethernet switches have increasingly been adopted in renewable energy applications across the US, Europe, China, Australia and Taiwan. In 2012, Moxa installed a 311 kW DC solar photo-voltaic array at its Global Sales and Marketing Headquarters in Brea, California, making it the largest privately owned solar plant in the city. For this and for opening portions of the live solar array to SunSpec Alliance members for use in standards testing and verification, Moxa received special recognition from the Alliance as well as from the local and state government.
