Security products consultants, GPM, debuts at Opposite Lock Rally
Graeme Powell Marketing is a specialist security products PR & marketing company
Graeme Powell Marketing (GPM), the specialist security products PR & marketing company debuted their Escort MkII RS2000 rally car on the Opposite Lock Rally.

Taking part in the rally that was held at the Manby Showground, near Louth in Lincolnshire, Graeme Powell, GPM's director battled against other established competitors and powerful rally machinery from across the country.

"The rally was a great test of man and machine, and used a variety of fast twisty stages, over the tarmac and loose surface roads around the showground's complex," said Powell. "We had a few problems to fix during the course of the rally, but overall the car performed well on its first event, especially in view of the fact that out of the 71 cars that started the event, over 30 of them retired - some cars just broke under the dry, dusty, and in places, rough conditions. Our plan now is to contest further tarmac rallies this year to gain further experience with the car, and switch to gravel road based forest events in 2011."
