Pauline Norstrom the Worldwide Head of Marketing at Dedicated Micros has been elected to the position of Chairman of the CCTV Section of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).

Pauline has been Vice-Chairman of the CCTV Section since 2004.  In her new position she will be responsible for directing the BSIA's work in an area where Britain continues to lead the world.  She will also remain as head of TC/10, the BSIA's technical committee which focuses on CCTV best practice.

Said Pauline Norstrom: "I am extremely pleased to have been given the opportunity to take-up this important role, particularly at a time when CCTV is in the spotlight as never before."

"My vision for the section, moving forward, will be to ensure that we continue to play a leading role in developing standards and guidance for installers and end users alike.  I believe it is imperative where best practice is highlighted that it reflects real world issues - whether that be the handling of digital video evidence or the positioning of CCTV cameras in a retail environment.  It is also vital that we are able to inform Government strategy on all aspects of CCTV and I am determined to strengthen our links in this regard."

Commented David Dickinson, BSIA Chief Executive: "My colleagues and I are delighted to be working with Pauline as Chair of the CCTV Section.  I'm sure she will build on the exemplary work of her predecessor Adam Wiseberg.  She has already shown her commitment and determination through her work as Vice-Chairman and also with TC/10, in particular the development of a Code of Practice for Digital Video Evidence. "
