Ipsotek developed tag and track in partnership with Kingston University and BAE Systems Investment In Innovation Program
Ipsotek's tag and track technology is a multi-camera tracking system and can locate any tagged person at any time

Ipsotek’s award winning technology Tag and Track has won the CCTV System of the Year category at this year’s IFSEC International Security Industry Awards.

Ipsotek competed for the winning title against five other entries in the CCTV System of the Year category. The award ceremony,  sponsored by  the Norbain Group, was held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Monday 14 May, in association with British Security Industry Association (BSIA).

The IFSEC Security Industry Awards celebrates the security innovations over the last year. It is both a celebration and an acknowledgement of excellence of the products and technological innovations, influencing and shaping the industry.

The winning technology, Tag and Track “TNT”, is a multi-camera tracking system based on existing CCTV cameras that continuously tracks all persons or objects within an existing surveillance network.  TNT can instantly locate any identified (tagged) person at any time along with the path they have taken throughout their journey in the network.  An operator can tag an individual by a simple mouse click on that person in live or recorded video.

TNT automates the large and time consuming element of the day to day work of CCTV control room operators who manually trail suspects from camera to camera. It also allows operators to “follow” multiple tagged targets automatically, making staff more efficient. An inexperienced operator with little or no knowledge of the camera layout is able to effectively use the CCTV system as if they were an experienced person.  TNT has been developed in collaboration with Kingston University and BAE Systems Investment In Innovation program.

During IFSEC Ipsotek exhibited six key areas of expertise ranging from i-LIDS Primary approved perimeter protection, crowd management and the award winning people and vehicle tracking solution throughout the week at the NEC Birmingham.
