Frontier Announces Availability Of The Latest Version Of Its Frontier R4 Security Management Software

Frontier, a developer of integrated enterprise security management solutions for more than thirty-five years, has announced availability of the upgraded version of its security management software, Frontier R4. The new release delivers enhanced functionality and further empowers organizations to achieve higher levels of awareness, security control and rapid response.

The Frontier integrated software suite streamlines operator work flow, saves time, reduces costs and significantly simplifies system management and operation, providing users with the confidence and flexibility to ensure a safe environment. Frontier R4 provides improved management of people and credentials. With these enhancements, management of credentials is more efficient and significantly simpler for users, even in environments with complex credential requirements. 

A new addition to the Frontier offerings, Frontier Video, provides a feature rich and scalable hybrid and IP video solution. With seamless video integration, Frontier Video transforms Frontier access control software into a comprehensive unified security management solution for a variety of environments, including healthcare, education, enterprise, transportation, manufacturing and critical infrastructure. The video interface allows selected security cameras and monitors to be associated with specific alarms. When an alarm activates, real–time video of the incident is provided. Users can also record and view live video playback with PTZ controls, use PTZ control based on alarm presets, and enable motion-detection camera alarms and camera online/offline event alarms. Frontier Video is available stand-alone or fully integrated with the Frontier security platform.

A new, easy to use Frontier Web Client improves interaction with security environments as operators can use any standard Web browser to connect to the Frontier platform for system administration and control. Users can manage credential information, run reports, receive system alarms and control doors through the Web interface, which is also optimized for tablets to increase remote access. Built on advanced Web technologies such as HTML5, the Frontier Web Client provides a secure and easy to use interface to manage common tasks.
