IP Specialist Mayflex Takes Up UK Distributorship Of Raytec’s CCTV Illuminators

Mayflex, the IP specialist, is proud to announce it's the first distributor in the UK to be supplying the Raytec series of High Power PoE White-Light and Infra-Red LED illuminators.

Raytec's recently launched range of High Power PoE illuminators is designed to provide lighting for all surveillance systems being installed on a network infrastructure. The new illuminators are fully weatherproof and can be used for both internal and external applications to provide dedicated lighting for network cameras. Both Infra-Red and White-light options are available; delivering excellent night-time images up to 60 metres (197 feet). Installation is as simple as plugging in the PoE enabled network cable, and with an inbuilt photocell plus internal Command and Control electronics, the PoE range is truly plug and play.

CCTV lighting can sometimes be overlooked as an unnecessary extra cost, but at night or in low light conditions CCTV lighting can really enhance surveillance images, meaning that activity can be monitored with no compromise on picture quality. Even with cameras that are designed for low light or night time viewing, a Raytec lighting solution can increase image quality even more.

Raytec understands IP and megapixel cameras and how they require high performance lighting. During internal tests, Raytec lighting was shown to reduce both bandwidth requirements and storage requirements of network cameras by up to 95%. Without sufficient light neither video compression nor video analytics can work.
