The CCTV User Group's annual Golf Day, which took place on the 20th April, was sponsored by Vicon.

Delegates to the CCTV User Group conference were invited by Vicon to join in a friendly golf competition at the impressive Marriott Worsley course in Manchester.

"It was great to see so many members of the CCTV User Group relax and enjoy themselves whilst  at the same time taking the opportunity to network, which is what these kinds of events are all about," said Richard Allen-Miles, Vicon's Sales Director for the UK and Ireland. "Vicon was delighted to have the opportunity to support the valuable work of the CCTV User Group by sponsoring the golf day, as well as exhibiting at the Group's conference."

The weather was perfect and despite the casual nature of the day, the standard of golf played proved to be very high. The winner of the Stableford competition was Shea Nugent of Wireless CCTV, whilst the longest drive was achieved by Kevin Matthews of Tavcom Training and ‘nearest the pin' by John Early, of Metronet. The ‘Best Endeavour' prize was awarded to Mary McGivern of Secom.
